At Paris Estate and Letting Agents, we believe in best practice and as part of our accreditation with the Ombudsman Service this includes:


If our letting agents hold the keys to your property, no viewing will be conducted without the presence of our staff unless prior authorisation from the seller is given.

Duty of care:

Paris Estate and Letting Agents will always work in the best interests of our clients. We always endeavour to treat every client fairly and with utmost respect.

Energy Performance Certificate:

By law, before a property can be marketed it must have an energy certificate.

Fees and charges:

Paris Estate and Letting Agents will inform you in writing about all fees and charges that will incur from using our services (including VAT) and the dates these fees are payable.

'For Sale' Boards:

All sales boards will be displayed in areas where we have prior permission to display such advertising materials. We will ask every seller if they wish for a board to be displayed on their property and will supply a board appropriate for each property.

Impartial advice:

Regardless of age, race, religion, political beliefs, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or disability, Paris Estate and Letting Agents will always offer advice that is both impartial and appropriate.

Making financial check:

If you are selling a property, you will be asked to provide proof of identification in accordance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007. Buyers can also expect to show proof of identity for our records and this is essential if we are helping to arrange a mortgage.

Marketing your property:

All properties sold by Paris Estate and Letting Agents will be accurately described and no details will be misrepresented. We welcome clients to verify our marketing details if needs be.


All offers received by Paris Estate and Letting Agents will be written down and a copy of which will be passed onwards very promptly to the seller.

Terms of business:

Every client can expect that we will hand them a copy of our written Terms of Business.


Sellers can expect that we will follow their every instruction when conducting a viewing in the property.

What our membership with NALS means

Paris Estate and Letting Agents is a proud member of the NALS (National Approved Letting Scheme) which is a closely monitored scheme whereby letting agents must adhere and meet strict criteria before being admitted. The lettings agents have to:

  • Hold a current Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • The letting agents must have a designated account with a bank
  • Must commit to being part of the Client Money Protection Scheme
  • Must offer services to landlords and tenants and ensure that these services meet the standards expected of NALS members
  • The letting agents must have a procedure for customer complaints whereby independent redress can be offered for any complaints on the landlord or tenants behalf that has not been solved.

Every letting agents that achieve NALS status is constantly monitor to ensure the aforementioned letting agent meets the strict NALS requirements.

As part of its membership with NALS, Paris Estate and Letting Agents must submit an accountant’s reports to NALS, and this must meet the NALS accounting standards. Membership must be reviewed annually and letting agents must show current evidence that complies with entry requirements.

NALS conducts random checks on letting agents and their accounts which ensures compliance with relevant ombudsman schemes operating in the sector. Such stringent checks ensure companies provide a reliable and trustworthy service for consumers and the NALS sign acts as a guarantor of quality.
